One sound from the Land
We are gathering again for Waiara 2020 God Has been speaking to us about finding our unique identity and sound as a people from Aotearoa and Oceania that it is time to birth new sounds and songs from the end of the earth.
.Over the winter months I have been getting the Aramaic word Maranatha, which can be translated "our Lord has come". The Waiara gathering over the last two years has been about being one people together. I believe this year on our third Waiara gathering He is giving us a new declaration is "We are one and He is here"
Isaiah 24:16 - From the ends of the earth we hear singing: "Glory to the Righteous One."
Isaiah 42:10 - Sing a new song to the LORD! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands.
These sounds and songs are birthed from the people of the land together. The emphasis is on THE PEOPLE TOGETHER birthing sounds and songs. Our Gatherings are not meetings or conferences where people sometimes come to be entertained or enjoy a performance. Our gatherings are first and foremost about community and participation together, each of us contributing to the whole with our love, talents and spiritual gifts.
The heart of our Waiara gathering is that together we birth something in unity from the Father's heart for our nation and region. God has given us a Maori saying which has incredible meaning and weight to us at this time . . .
Whano, whano! Haramai te toki! Haumi ē! Hui ē! Tāiki ē!
which is a saying often used in speeches. It is used to signal that the group is united and ready to progress the purpose of them coming together.
A wise man once said if we let the heart speak we will find agreement, from agreement we find unity and from unity we start to move in God's government and dominion.
Psalm 133 TLB
How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head,
that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.
Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion.
And there the Lord has pronounced His blessing, even life everlasting.
